Welcome to Orchard Park, NY

Overview

Orchard Park is a town in central Erie County, one of a collection of suburbs sometimes called the “Southtowns.” Orchard Park is southeast of the city of Buffalo and bordered to the north by West Seneca, to the east by Elma and Aurora, to the south by the town of Boston and to the west by Hamburg. Orchard Park is best known as the home of Ralph Wilson Stadium, where the Buffalo Bills play professional football.

Essentials

For grocery shopping Orchard Park has a Tops Friendly Markets store on Southwestern Boulevard. The closest Wegmans supermarkets are in south Buffalo and on Orchard Park Road in West Seneca. For retail shopping, Orchard Park has shops like Marshalls, Kohl’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods at Quaker Crossing on Amelia Drive.

Recreation & Entertainment

The big attraction here is the Buffalo Bills. The NFL team regularly draws huge crowds to Ralph Wilson Stadium. The town also has a multi-screen movie theater at Quaker Crossing.

Transportation & Traffic

Route 20A is the main east-west road in town. Route 240 cuts through the middle of town and heads north-south. Route 219 – also known as the Southern Expressway – is just west of Orchard Park.

Pros & Cons

This is a wonderful town for families and the fairly well-to-do. With the Buffalo Bills playing here, expect enormous crowds and heavy traffic on game days. Some residents use that to their advantage, charging for parking on their property
