The village of Springville, in the southeastern part of town, is the principal community and a major business location in southern Erie County. Springville has a hospital and the Springville Center for the Arts, which produces theater shows, gallery exhibits and workshops. The village is in the foothills of the Allegany Mountains. Kissing Bridge Ski Resort is in the northeastern part of Concord. Sprague Brook County Park is in the southeastern part of town.
Local Museums/Landmarks
The village of Springville has five sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including a railroad station, a Baptist church and the Scoby Power Plant and Dam. The village’s East Main-Mechanic Street district also is on the national register. The Springville Academy, which opened in 1830, was the first high school in Erie County.
